Doodle’s clever algorithm Proxima ensures that each child’s work program is differentiated according to their needs. This means that all children are working within their zone of proximal development, with an appropriate level of challenge and are encouraged towards mastery.

The information that Doodle collects, as students use it ‘little and often,’ can help teachers to pinpoint and record specific gaps in their pupils’ learning. This can then be used to inform planning and intervention to put in place.

Where can I find this information?

You can find useful information about learning gaps on the Work programs > Coverage page. Here you can see the different CCS topics a child has covered and their accuracy on that topic.

Setting Assignments

Although children are encouraged to complete their daily Doodle, you can also choose to set Assignments. These can be used as a pre-teaching tool, to consolidate understanding, or to extend pupils. Assignments should not replace the work program but do mean that you can assign specific, differentiated tasks to pupils, on a topic of your choosing.
