My child's work program is too challenging or too easy for them
Updated over a week ago

If your child is finding the questions in Doodle too easy or too tricky, you may need to do a Doodle Placement.

Doodle Placement will analyze your child's strengths and weaknesses to ensure that the work it set is at the right level for them.

If your child has a school subscription please ask their teacher to put the account into Doodle Placement.

If you have a home subscription you will be able to put the account into Doodle Placement through the Families Dashboard:

  1. Login to the Families Dashboard

  2. Hover over Analyze and select Understanding

  3. Select your child's name down the left hand side and then click on the blue Start new Doodle Placement for X button underneath

Encourage your child to work independently during the Doodle Placement, even if they find things a little challenging — this is simply Doodle’s way of working out their strengths and weaknesses. Receiving help at this stage may cause their work to be incorrectly assessed, leading to the program becoming too challenging.

You may find that your child is covering work that they have done previously, this will happen if the algorithm feels that your child needs to consolidate their learning on a few topics to ensure that those areas are fully embedded before moving them on to new learning, resulting in a stronger foundation for them to build their learning upon.

More information on Doodle Placement and how it works can be found here.
